Q: Camp Types: 

A: We offer two different types of camps: Summer Weekly Themes Camps and Computer Programming & Design Camps.

  •        Summer Weekly Themes Camp runs from 8:30am to 6:30pm. Students can select Full Day, Short Day or Half Day programs.
  •        Each Computer Programming & Design Camp is 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. There are morning camp (9:00am -12:00pm) and afternoon camp (1:00pm -4:00pm). Computer Programming & Design Camp requires full week enrollment.

Q: Who are the teachers?

A: Our teachers either have California teaching credential, college teaching experience or at least 3 years camp teaching experience.

Q: My son doesn’t have programming skill, which classes can he attend?

A: We have quite a few of computing classes are designed for your kid in both camps.

Summer Fun Camp has scratch to get young kids get started with fun programming practice and experience.

Q: What is the difference between your two Minecraft classes?

Minecraft™ 3D Game Design is about create adventure maps and explore the many roles and tasks required to design modern 3D games.

Minecraft™ Mod with Java needs working knowledge in Java to create Minecraft Modification

Q: Should I bring my own computer?

A: No. We will provide all the learning materials for all of our camps. Please DO NOT allow students bring valuables to inGenius camp. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Q: Does my child need to take Alice 3 – Introduction to Java before she takes Java Programming?

A: Alice 3 is highly recommended for Java. We teach Alice 3 before Java so that students can easily understand object concept. in addition, Alice is a lot of fun and kids starting with it will fall in love with programming instead of being discouraged by syntax errors. 

Q: Can I drop my kid(s) earlier than 8:30 am at the camp location? 

No. Our camp starts 8:30 am.

Q: How many break time and outdoor activity time on campus during summer?

Before Class (8:30-9:30): morning reading or outdoor activities
Lunch Break (11:30-1:00 or 12:00-1:00): after lunch, movie/craft time or outdoor activities
Snack Break (3:00-3:30):  snack and outdoor activities
Free Activates (5:30-6:30) : reading/craft time or outdoor activities

Q: What is the sun screen policy?
Families are responsible for applying the first layer of sunscreen prior to morning drop-off. Our camp is stocked with Banana Boat spray/lotion sunscreen SPF 50 Broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection for use by any student that does not supply their own. Please tell your child to come to office after lunch for reapplying sunscreen.
