inGenius 2019 Summer Camp Orientation Letter

Dear parents,
Time is flying. Summer is here. inGenius is ready to provide your children a wonderful summer experience.  We have lots of fun activities planned for your kids. It’s going to be the best summer ever!
1.      Arrival/Pickup
Safety is our top priority.
Please drop off and pick up your child/children at the gate between Building D and E of the Canyon Crest Academy. 
Please make sure you child’s grade level in our system reflect 2019-2020 school year grade in inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll). This information will be used for daily sign in and out. 
Campers must be signed in and out by a legal guardian every day. If you would like to approve other adults to pick up your child, please fill out online form in inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll).
2.      Camp Duration
Camp staff is available for camper supervision only during designated camp hours. Doors will open at 8:30 am each day. All campers must be picked up by 6:30pm. Should additional staff be required to supervise campers after 6:30pm, a fee of $15 for every 15 minutes late will apply, due at the time of camper pickup.
3.      Enrollment schedule and classroom assignment
Please log in to inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll) and click on view schedule for weekly classroom assignment.
4.      Daily Reading Club
We will provide books for campers to read daily. Campers can also bring their own favorite books.
5.      Lunch, Snack and Hydration
– We will provide hot lunch daily at extra charge. We will provide free daily afternoon snack at 3:00 pm. You can order hot lunches by week before Monday. Here is the tentative Lunch Menu.
– Our staff can also help reheat your child’s lunch with microwave oven.
For the safety of our campers, please do not bring any snacks or lunches that contain peanuts or tree nuts. These include, but are not limited to, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, coconut, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts.
Please bring water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
6.   Allergies
Please make sure you share your child’s allergy information with us using student information page in inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll).
7.   Closed toe shoes
All campers must wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes for safety purposes during play activities. Participants in Sports Camp programs are required to wear sneakers. 
8.   Classroom software installation instruction
If campers attend computer programming class and plan to practice at home, instructions of software installation on personal/home computers can be found here, https://inGenius.us/installation-instruction
9.   Agreement & Photo/Media Release Form
Please read , sign the Agreement & Media Release Form in inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll).  
10.   Student Behavior Contract
Please read , sign the Student Behavior Contract in inGenius Parent Portal (https://ingenius.us/enroll) WITH your child.
