Secret Codes 101
Stop villains and spies from outsmarting you by learning important secret code! Future spies will learn code creating and use cracking devices to secretly communicate with colleagues and defeat evil forces.

Creative Clay
Artists will explore various ways to create with clay. They will explore projects such as pinch pots, Pueblo pots, animal sculptures, and more. All without the use of a pottery wheel or a kiln.

Lego Battery buggy (Race Car)
Want to become the next Elon Musk? Join us to learn the fundamentals of electric vehicles, the technology associated with them and their impact on transportation and society. Camper will also design and build their own moving, battery-powered vehicle.

Introduction to Chess
The program includes chess instruction at multiple levels with an emphasis is on the joy of the game. Instruction will start with simple problems to illustrate key concepts, and then move to more intricate positions. Students will learn by playing. They will be able to integrating new information with previous knowledge while building effective thinking habits in chess.

Beginner Tennis & Pickleball
This class teaches the fundamentals of tennis and Pickleball to our young students. Proper technique is emphasized along with racquet control, cooperation and movement.

Jr. Robotics - Evo
This class takes Students on an introductory journey into the world of robotics. Students will be introduced to basic engineering and programming concepts as well as motors and sensors. Students will learn through playing and creating different programs using motors, light sensors, distance sensors, power, and more. Students will also learn fundamental programming concepts using drag-and-drop visual programming tool: Algorithm Design, Command Sequences and Control Flow, Conditions, Loops, Sensors and Events through creative problem solving.

Outdoor sports camps take place in the Canyon Crest Academy fields. Activities include: Basketball,Soccer, Rugby, Yoga. The students in this group will be doing a lot of mind-body awareness activities: cornhole, horseshoes, and ultimate frisbee.

Chemistry: Everyday Phenomena
Get down to the basics exploring the elements! This camp helps kids connect real-world situations with science. Campers learn the fundamentals of chemistry and laboratory safety. Learn what makes a volcano erupt, or make your own bottle rocket through knowledge of chemical reactions. Campers will create several other wacky, wild and crazy concoctions!

Medical School: Get Body Smart
Kids are fascinated by their stomach, lungs, and brain. In this camp, The campers will uncover how body parts function together. Each day we will explore a body system.

CITY-BUILDING the Lego way!
Students collaboratively build city with Lego (such as city hall, postal office and parks) and learn the day-to-day civic and economic concepts of managing a city, and as such develop design thinking, problem solving, social and leadership skills.

Afternoon Camp

Plant Detectives
Students will learn to decode the tips and tricks plants use to survive in deserts, rainforests, and beyond! They will explore the incredible diversity of plants from near and far, right in the region. They will learn about the strange secrets plants employ to adapt to their environment, like teaming up with fungi for food or capturing and eating bugs. They will also learn about various shapes, sizes, and features of plants that are all strategic to help an organism gain access to the resources they need.

Computational Thinking without Coding (I)
We will teach Computer Science through games and puzzles with cards, string, crayons and lots of running around. These activities will introduce students to Computational Thinking through concepts such as binary numbers, algorithms and data compression. Importantly, no coding is needed.

World of Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs have a long and varied past. Students will explore some surprising questions like did the t-Rex have feathers? Is the Pterodactyl really a dinosaur? Students will learn what is and create their own phylogenetic tree and do other dinosaur crafts.

Sing Me a Song!
Students will learn the art of singing and vocal fundamentals emphasizing performance techniques and apply it to their favorite popular songs!

Write, Make, Tell-a-Tale: Got Story?
Craft something with power and emotion that lives and breathes within the hearts and minds of audiences. This camp is designed for kids who love to write and make stories. It will explore how to create/write stories and effective ways to tell the stories.

Lego Challenge: Powered Machine/Pulley
Students will build powered machines that really work, using gears, levers and pulleys, while building fine motor skills, sequential thinking skills, problem solving skills and confidence. We are not just building, we are BUILDING BRAINS!

Jr. Meteorologists
Students will study weather, climate, and the forces that cause change in our environment. They will do so through fun projects such as measuring and recording rainfall, creating a water cycle wheel, building a weather station, and creating Greenhouse Effect.

Cooking Academy
In this exciting camp, budding young chefs will have the chance to learn kitchen skills and the art of cooking.

Journeys of the Great Explorers
Students will follow famous explorers, such as Marco Polo, Zheng He, around the world for fame, for wealth or just out of curiosity. They will also examine the impact of their expeditions on the indigenous societies. Students will also plan and conduct their own virtual explorations in groups.

Art Appreciation (series 2)
The importance of exposing kids to art early in life is often undervalued. But giving young children an appreciation for art encourages exploration, self-expression, logical thinking, self-esteem, imagination, and creativity. Early art experiences also teach kids to think openly, create new meaning, be more tolerant of others' differences, and gives them the courage to take risks. This camp is how to encourage art appreciation in your young child, and make the most out of those crucial learning years. The kids will learn how to paint flowers, trees, nature scenes and a variety of animals use Chinese brush and ink. Each kid will create a portfolio to keep.

If there’s no greater thrill for you than taking off a giant piece of metal that goes soaring through the sky, you’re not alone. Lots of people think flying is the greatest. Airplanes are undeniably awesome. You may also think about things that fly like kites, birds, hot air balloon, and helicopter. What makes the things fly? What are you waiting for? Come on and find out! Also tell us what top 5 things you would do if you could fly!

A Drawing Adventure and a Journal of Creativity
Students will create drawings based on a true or imaginary journey. It will be based on the where, how, who and what during the adventure. They will create their adventures while learning basic drawing, designs concepts and principle.

Are you curious and love adventure? Then explore science, technology, engineering, art and math concepts through the adventures of popular story book characters. As students dive daily into a short story adventure, students engage their curiosity by asking questions, predicting outcomes, sharing observations and formulating theories through hands-on learning activities based on the story.

Students will dive into all sorts of books and forms of storytelling. They will read tales, investigating graphic novels, and listen to stories as ways to explore the world of storytelling. Each student will have the opportunity to create and present their own story and grow confidence.

Numbers in Chinese poetry
Reading Chinese poetry and immersing yourself in the culture is a great way to learn the language. It will also be fun to hunt all these exciting numbers from the poetry and discover their fascinating math ideas. This camp is instructed in English.

Greek Mythology
In this camp, students will study the nature of function of Greek myth ancient and modern times. They will learn about the ideas of divinity, the cosmos and human society. They will examine the ancient secrets of the Greeks and become an architect as campers learn own Greek Temple. They will also create exciting hands on projects such as a Trojan horse and fresco mural.

A Geometry Course in Golf Course Design
Students will apply their knowledge of geometry to design their own golf course! They learn about angles, such as acute, obtuse, and right angles. They will study lines, degrees, and two-dimensional shapes, such as polygons and quadrilaterals. They will use their acquired knowledge of geometry to challenge your classmates, engage your mind, and have fun, all at the same time.

Students will Learn about this force and the experiments and activities surrounding electricity and magnetism that CHARGE up our lives.

Travel around the world as we explore the Engineering of Travel. Drive across the United States, build a boat to sail the Mediterranean, and fly to the Asian in this fun engineering experience. Join us on an amazing adventure as we engineer planes, cars, boats and rockets to travel the globe and beyond.

CITY-BUILDING the Lego way!

Math Problem Solving
Develop math techniques to increase productivity. Solve math problems using nothing but your brain. Learning through projects based on number systems, fractions, graphing, and geometry will enable campers to become a math Mania.

Chinese mythical creatures: Find the mysteries
Dragon, Qilin, and Phenix? How about a fox with nine tails? A one-legged ox? No one will be too young or either too old for fairy tales. Escape the natural world and enjoy the fairy tale fantasy. This camp is instructed in English.
